The Peterson Family has been manufacturing their quality fishing tackle since 1946 in Lewiston, Maine.

The original D-10 Down-Easter Rod Holder was first designed and produced in the Fall of 1946.

It was originally designed to offer fishermen a “third hand”, while they rowed their canoe or rowboat.

Over the past seventy years, a number of different mounting systems were developed while the basic mechanism remained unchanged.
