The AP-DI-2 is built with high quality aluminum alloy and is black powder coated for installation on the boat transom. This product is designed to fit the redesigned Humminbird® Down Image transducer own Image transducer XNT 9 DI T (RD) and the CHIRP Down Image Transducer XNT 9 HW MDI 75 T. Item AP-DI-2 includes stainless steel hardware and easy easy do-it yourself instructions. Your Humminbird® factory bracket will not be required with an Armor Plate
Please note that the original Down Image transducer was redesigned by Humminbird® yet the transducer number was not changed on their website. Please know your transducer number when ordering this item. The number can be found labelled on the cable closest to the plug. If your transducer number ends with T choose Armor Plate AP-DI.
Our Armor Plates are designed to protect the transducer from side to side as well as front and back impact. They are designed as an added attachment to our older SBB-4 or current SBB-5 Spring Back Bracket for all around transducer protection. Consider ordering a Spring Back Bracket SBB-5 when ordering the Armor Plate. If the Armor Plate is installed anywhere other than on the transom, for example on the set back wall, some shimming may be required if the transducer angle needs to be adjusted.
